CHP Update

Attended my final interview this morning and I am sorry to say that I was disqualified. Not disclosing certain things are grounds for disqualification and I did forget that I had once let an underage friend use my identification card to gain access to a bar. An honest mistake, but one worthy of grounds for disqualification. I can of course go through the process again, disclosing this little bit of information. Again, thank you to everyone who has shown support.

Dum, Dum, DumDum

Dum, Dum, DumDum (here comes the bride) Danny and Jenna are now officially married. I want to say that I had a fantastic weekend. From gambling, partying, eating, dancing and signing witness papers, to snowboarding, it was all great. I really enjoyed meeting all the people from both sides of the family that I haven't met before. Congratulations. Again, it was a great honor being Danny's best man. Wishing you guys a lifetime of happiness. Love, Will

PS-Photos will be on shutterfly very soon.

California Highway Patrol

For those of you who know, I applied to the CHP about 8 or 9 months ago. I have always thought about a career that would offer me the opportunity to help other people on a daily basis but this year I finally took the necessary steps. My background investigator called me last night and told me that it was time to tell my current employer that I had applied with the CHP. This means that I am very close to a for sure thing. I finish my background investigation portion Tuesday morning and if successfull I will talk with a head doctor and a medical doctor to get clearance to enter the CHP Academy. Thank you all who have supported me throughout this process. With any luck and the right amount of determination, skill, and drive, I will be Cadet Wilson within the next couple of months!

Sue-The Film Photographer

As the earlier post read-Sue had one day expressed a little interest in the art of pictures. Film pictures. So, being the guy I am, I ran out and got her a camera, excited that we could share in an interest. Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Jess

Photo credit goes to Sue-the new film photographer of the house. Wishing Jess a happy birthday from all of us here.

Boys Night Out

9 guys going out in celebration of Danny's Bachelor-dom. Hooters for dinner, a list of objectives for Danny to accomplish at the bar (created by the lovely Hooters Ladies you see here), and a quick trip to the local special club if ya know what I mean. Everyone had a great time and best of luck to Danny who ties the knot this coming weekend.

Bixby Bridge

Completed in 1932, it introduced automobile travel to Big Sur. It is one of the most photographed bridges in the world because of its location along the central California coast. You may have seen this one in a few car commercials.

Folks, He's Not all that Bad

As mighty as his envious rage is, brought on by the purchase of my new lens, the old man gave me a 77mm filter set. Not just one filter, but an entire set. UV, Cir Polarizer, and Polarizer. Not the actions of a jealous rampaging sinner! 77mm filters are not a cheap accessory. My thank you has now been blogged!

A Day in Monterey

Birds, surf, sand, and scenerey. A very good day.

Campbell Car

Yesterday, Grandma brought yet another toy over. It is cool, nostalgic, and very loud! When this thing moves it resembles multiple nails down a chalkboard. EEEK! Squeek after squeek -The older kid loves this thing to and she can throw it into overdrive. Simply makes your head feel like it is going to explode right off your shoulders. Love ya Mom. For me, it's a couple appointments for work and I hope to be in Monterey this early evening. I plan to get some good shots and see how the old man is handling himself.

Could this be why she doesn't feel so good?

Caught red handed! I had a talk with her informing her that she was too young to be drinking.
Actually no children drank any alcohol in the making of this photo.
A very candid shot during the football game. So candid the iso was at 1600 which explains the noise.

Not feeling too good :(

It's been a rough couple of days. Ava has been pretty sick. For her first time she was running a fever. The poor girl won't let Mom or I put her down and she has just been miserable. Kudos to Mom who has carrying duty for quite a few more hours than myself. However, today, we began to play again. It was good to see some of the good ol Ava come back. Not her best photo.

Vista

In approximately 20 days Windows Vista will launch it's final product on store shelves. Having a PC capable of using this beautiful looking OS, is it a good idea to upgrade at this time? As I remember it, all new Windows OS launches have launched nothing but headaches. Most of my compatability issues are raised because of programs I use. I have been looking for any known issues with Photoshop, Pinnacle, ITunes, etc. According to the Windows Upgrade Advisor, found on the Windows Vista website, my system is pretty much ready to go with this. Just thought I'd try to grab some opinions.

Discovery Park in January?

This time of year it is usually overcast and 40. Today was partly cloudy with temperatures almost reaching 70. Discovery Park is a popular park hosting the Sacramento River.

A Little Cutie

A great memory made during Kayla's Chrismas opening ceremony.

Kayla Comes Home

Kayla, the possible step daughter to be, -does that make sense?- came home from Dad's house yesterday after a two week holiday visit. She was patiently awaiting my arrival home from work in the driveway because she missed me so much. Nah-she really wanted to open the huge quantity of Christmas presents that have accumilated for her at home during her visit. She was not allowed to open them until I arrived home. Needless to say, I got a huge smile from my gift of a ream of paper. (She asks me daily for paper to draw on) The $100 keyboard I got her was not such a hit. Ah, the simple things in life.

wjwphotography.com

I am happy to announce that it looks like I have a fully functional place for photos. I really want to be able to show some of these photos in larger sizes which blogger does not have the capability to do. Take a look and let me know what you think. Comments are easy to leave!
