Randomness - ...

Well, Christian and Marissa will be tying the knot this weekend so I will wish everyone a great weekend a day early. I may not get another chance... Paulino came over with his kids today and I have a rental camera that I need to practice with so I am presenting you with my random-ness of shots from today.

San Jose Children's Discovery Museum

Never have I worn a diaper bag around my neck for so long. What has happened to me? Super Dad! The girls and I had a great time at the Disovery Museum today.

Willow Glen

I now live in Willow Glen. It is starting to set in. A nice little suburb of the San Jose area. Today, Lincoln St. was throwing a sidewalk sale along with free pony rides for the kids. Couldn't do that in Granite Bay. It's amazing how this street seems undisturbed by much of corporate America. Sure there is a Starbucks, Blockbuster, and Longs Drugs, but Starbucks has not put the three other little coffee shops out of business. How does this happen? A little bit of town loyalty?

Finally Kayla slows down long enough for me to grab a shot of her! :) This further pursues my practice with the manual film Camera.

Skipping Stones

It was a very pleasant afternoon today. Sue, Ava, and I headed over to Los Gatos and grabbed some lunch. Fantastic food at this place called Steamers. Ava had some gellato and could not be happier. She pretty much licked the bowl clean while repeating Yum, Yum, Yum over and over again. After lunch, we headed over to one of the walking trails that parallels a little creek. We stopped there for a moment and I attempted to teach Ava how to skip stones. We didn't actually skip any stones, but Ava has quite an arm for a soon to be 2 year old.

Mountain Bike

Mountain Bike, aka, NEAR DEATH EXPERIENCE. If you ever want to see what it is like to be on the brink of having your heart explode inside your chest, start mountain biking. I've had my bike for a couple of years now, but not till yesterday did I actually meet up with a couple of guys and challenge a Los Gatos hill. One of the guys I was with cruised up the entire thing while I was suffering heat exhaustion, a throbbing head, and hallucinations. Also, Paulino made it up before I did. Holly S*&t! Did I make it to the top? I did, and I must say I am extremely proud of myself. So, overall, it was a rewarding experience and I have a goal to be in the type of shape to be able to make it up one of these mountains.

Holly Crap

From 6/29/2007 at a bout 4 pm. I've seen this type of thing for a few electronic devices but when I was in San Francisco I thought I'd check out the iPhone because my phone is having issues and of course it requires a new 2 year contract to get a new one any way. So off we went. I found myself in a tangled mess of TV reporters, camped out consumers, and other cell companies trying to pull business from the crowd. Needless to say, I did not even try.
