Light Rail

It was a very exciting day for Ava. She knows that I use to take the light rail to school and has been infatuated with it for a while. Ava and I headed down to the Children's Discovery Museum for a fun-filled day of discovery stuff and our mode of transportation was light rail. Good for the environment and good for the kid. She actually wanted to pose in front of this sign and get a picture. As she said "cheese" I took the shot.

Pfeiffer and Big Sur

Spent the better part of the day with dad. Pfeiffer Beach reminded me of that movie The Beach. It's well hidden and you have to take an unmarked road to get here. A very beautiful place.

First Dance Recital

Today was Ava's first dance recital over at the Campbell Community Center. She was an excellent little performer!

Finally, I hold a degree and Im on course for a BS in Environmental Studies for Restoration and Resource Management from SJSU.

Best for Shawn and Family

Just received an email from my uncle Mike. This is my cousin Shawn Michael Wilson who is currently serving in Kalsu, Iraq. Haven't seen him since we were both kids but a few prayers or kind wishes for him, his family, and his safe return would be awesome. I'm really looking forward to being able to meet him (again) and his family sometime in the near future.

Annual Noob Day

This was awesome. Saturday morning I cruised out for a Cycle Gear sponsored ride through the mountains put together for those of us with little mileage under our belts. As I merged onto the freeway up towards the 92, I merged into about 300 motorcycles on their way to this event. It was like a quarter mile motorcycle snake cruising up the freeway. Neat stuff. It's also really cool that these things are available. Motorcyclin is dangerous and I'll take advantage of all the help I can get! Needless to say at this point, this ride was a little slow for moi. :)

Here Comes Baby Maya

Today I had the honor of doing some maternity photography for Danny and Jenna. It felt good to take some time to do some photos! They're expecting their new baby daughter, Maya, within the next few weeks. Congratulations to them and if you want to see the photos, I posted them HERE.

Mt. Hamilton

Not only is a motorcycle fun to ride, it's really inspired me to get out and explore the world around me.  Unlike driving, you really do take in every mile.

The pressure was intense.  The laps were brutal.  The Barbie Bike held up well.  

Not Solo Twisties

Solo Twisties

Rain, rain, go away.  Today it did.  With that, I headed to the hills to do some "real" riding.  Well, that's what it's called here but I kept the speed real low to test the limits of my abilities without ending up at the bottom of some narrow valley.  So low was my speed that a friendly biker passed me, turned around, passed me on the other side offering a thumbs up, turned around again and caught up to me.  We pulled over.  He wanted to be sure I was OK because I wasn't approaching the speed of light like most everyone else on these roads.  I explained that this was my very first time, I valued my life, we talked shop for a bit, and then exchanged some contact information.  Nice guy.  Anyway, it was fun.
