Shasta Lake

Took a little time Friday to check out Lake Shasta. The water was not cold yet and very calm. I think I will begin the planning of a wakeboard trip to this destination. All those interested let me know. Beautiful surroundings. Mt. Shasta in the background.

Turtle Bay Park

The work travels took me up to Redding, Ca Thursday and Friday. Friday morning I took a trip over to Turtle Bay Park. The bridge is the Sundial Pedestrian Bridge and yes, it actuallly tells the time. This is a nice place for kids to visit. Museums, gardens, and wetland education.

Another One Bites the Dust

Today my friend Jon ties the knot with Brianne. Have not seen Jon in a while so I am looking forward to this event. I worked with Jon for a few years and have shared a couple beers with this excellent man. Congratulations to you both, and I wish you all the happiness the world can possibly bring. God bless. Jon, saving a spot for you here. Send me some of your pictures when you get back!

A Typical Day of Ava II

Today, Daddy came home with some new toys. Ava has been trying to sit on just about anything she can find, so I got her, her own couch, of which she is extremely grateful. Also, I went down the "spoil your daughter road." Notice the large ball house. Good times had by all. I took some video, added a DRAMATIC soundtrack, did about 2 hours of editing (can you believe it), and voila!

Wheatland - Bishop's Pumpkin Farm

A quick drive up the 65 gets us to a place called Wheatland, Ca. The family and I, along with fellow friends from Truckee, Tonya, Paulino, and kids, spent the day here. From pony and hay rides, to tri tip sandwiches and beans, this was one of those enjoyable, small town, events.

A detour from work

Was on my way home, driving throught the Sonoma/Napa area and came across this large winery that caught my eye. I never really spend too much time in this area so I stopped to take a couple shots and of course try the wine. The Winery pictured is Ledson Winery which is located right off the 12.

Ava's First Day at the Park

Today, Kayla, Ava, and I took a trip to the local playground where I was totally excited to get Ava on one of those baby swings for the first time. Of course Kayla was excited to go on a walk to the park and was looking forward to demonstrating her wall ball skills. Ava was extremely grateful and awarded me with little giggles and huge smiles. This dad thing is something else!

Who Me?

After a long day of testing, Ava, Grandma Lee, and I went on a little walk around the corner. "Hey Ava!" I said. She responded to me with this look of... Who, Me? With Sue out of town for a friend of her's baby shower in LA; Ava, Kayla, Grandma Lee, and I concluded the evening with some 31 flavors. Ava indulged in some mint chocolate chip with the upmost enthusiasm.

Typical Day of Ava

It's not too often I get to spend some alone time with Ava. Today Sue was off taking niece Jessica to some garage sales and Kayla was visiting her dad. I decided to simply take some video and shots of Ava's explorations. Luckily she was in an entertaining mood.

Johnny 5 is not alive

Computer has been giving me random "blue screens of death" for the past couple of days. Finally did an OS restore which completely wiped the machine of all information. I, of course, backed up all inportant stuff, however the recovery is not as simple as one would think. Slowly making progress. In the mean time, if you like photography, or random blabber, (jk Dad) check out my dad's photo site here. Hopefully I'll be completely up and running again within a few days. A couple quick sidenotes-
Dad- San Franciso was great Thursday. Looking forward to putting up some of my pics. Lovin' the new camera?
Troy- Good shooting. I'll post a couple of those to.
Brandon and Vanessa- Thank you for today. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your move. I loved moving your new mattress! Ha! ...Congratulations on the new place; it is really nice.

Shooting Range

For those of you who know what I am talking about, I can say my shooting is most likely worthy of passing. Thanks Troy for a great couple houndred rounds! Besides, nothing relieves stress after a long week of work like the slow squeeze of a lethal trigger. Guns used today-Beretta 9, S&W .40, Gloc .40
