Campbell Car

Yesterday, Grandma brought yet another toy over. It is cool, nostalgic, and very loud! When this thing moves it resembles multiple nails down a chalkboard. EEEK! Squeek after squeek -The older kid loves this thing to and she can throw it into overdrive. Simply makes your head feel like it is going to explode right off your shoulders. Love ya Mom. For me, it's a couple appointments for work and I hope to be in Monterey this early evening. I plan to get some good shots and see how the old man is handling himself.

It's been a rough couple of days. Ava has been pretty sick. For her first time she was running a fever. The poor girl won't let Mom or I put her down and she has just been miserable. Kudos to Mom who has carrying duty for quite a few more hours than myself. However, today, we began to play again. It was good to see some of the good ol Ava come back. Not her best photo.

Ava gives Santa her list

Mom and Grandma Lee took Ava to see Santa today. Good news this year! Santa informed Ava that she was indeed on the good list and would most likely be spoiled with way too many presents from all her loving family and himself.

Ava Trick or Treats

Last year Ava was in a stroller. This was Ava's first year where we allowed her to attempt to Trick-or-Treat. She could not say the words, but she was excited to take candy from peoples' stash. A lot of the time she would take the candy and then put it back. After a few houses she started to catch on and just took off. This kid walked up and down the street, hand in hand with Grandma Lee, and not getting tired for about an hour.

A Typical Day of Ava II

Today, Daddy came home with some new toys. Ava has been trying to sit on just about anything she can find, so I got her, her own couch, of which she is extremely grateful. Also, I went down the "spoil your daughter road." Notice the large ball house. Good times had by all. I took some video, added a DRAMATIC soundtrack, did about 2 hours of editing (can you believe it), and voila!

Ava's First Day at the Park

Today, Kayla, Ava, and I took a trip to the local playground where I was totally excited to get Ava on one of those baby swings for the first time. Of course Kayla was excited to go on a walk to the park and was looking forward to demonstrating her wall ball skills. Ava was extremely grateful and awarded me with little giggles and huge smiles. This dad thing is something else!

It's not too often I get to spend some alone time with Ava. Today Sue was off taking niece Jessica to some garage sales and Kayla was visiting her dad. I decided to simply take some video and shots of Ava's explorations. Luckily she was in an entertaining mood.

Ava has been around for a little over a year. My next few posts will be about her first year. Thank you to everyone who has loved this little girl for the past year! I will also end this sentence with the word year.
