Becky Comes for a Visit
And the purpose of this visit? Becky, my sister, is planning her wedding. She's looking at doing something in the Tahoe area so naturally I'm looking forward to this one! Sometime in December my sister should be the wife of Bob, er, I mean Bruce. Congratulations to the both of them-you have my blessing.

Mom
I wanted to post a photo of my Mom on Mothers Day, but I guess I forgot :( I'll have you know that I did send flowers on time :) And then there's the fact that I've been pretty busy. Excuses, Excuses...This is my wonderful mother, whom has pretty much walked to the end of Earth and back for myself and the rest of her kids. Love ya mom.

The EF 135 mm F/2L USM
That's code for a pretty cool lens. A fellow photographer, Manu from San Fran Daily Photo suggested this one. I rented it a while ago and it finally showed up today. Here's a couple test shots starring Danny and his dog CeeCee. Notice the clarity, you can easily count Danny's nose hairs. I also have already decided that this lens would make an acceptable Christmas present.

What Lives in Your Garbage Can?
I can't recall an actual time I have seen one of these in person. As a matter of fact, I don't think I have ever seen one. This little lady was all too happy to surprise me as I lifted the lid of my outdoor garbage can. I decided that the best thing to do was exterminate her due to the fact that the child population is high in this area and we would like to keep it that way. She received a healthy dose of insecticide and then got my full attention for a little while as I documented her existance with my nifty macro lens. By the way, "The female black widow spider, though it is the most venomous spider in North America, seldom causes death as it injects a very small amount of poison when it bites." Seldom is good enough for me...SPLAT-she met the bottom of my shoe.
Folsom City Zoo and Sancturary
I have never been to the Folsom City Zoo. As a matter a fact, I lived right across the street from it a little while ago and have never been there. I guess your weekend activities change when you become a dad. Grandma Lee, Cousin Zach, Ava, and I all headed here for a Saturday afternoon outing. A cool little place but the bears were not out this day, however, Ava had her first train ride.

A Great Thing Being Done
Thanks Zach for donating $100! I really do think this is an awesome thing. If everyone I send this to would take the 5 minutes to visit http://www.avonwalk.org/ and donate just 5 or $10 it would really help Tanya be able to reach her goal so she can participate in this event. Just visit the site, click on donate, click on donate to a Participant, click on San Francisco, and put in first name "Tanya" last name "Barron." So go to the site, enter your credit card, and feel really good about yourself!
